Stop deleting our cosplay accounts

People work hard on their cosplay costumes and have a large number of fans. I know people who are photographers and just watched them lose all of their work due to Facebook deleting cosplay accounts. I have seen friends work hard for hours on end from scratch to make their cosplay on the budget that they have, whether its big or small, only to see their accounts deleted that they proudly worked on. Deleting someone's cosplay account makes those individuals feel as if all the work they put into it was for nothing. Cosplayers are not just a "group" of people. We are friends, all of us, we are brothers and sisters who enjoy the same interests. By deleting these accounts, Facebook is harming its social community more than helping it. As a cosplayer myself, I put time and effort like the rest of us, to perfect our costumes. I ask that Facebook stop deleting cosplay accounts. What is done about cyber bullying? I myself had recently been hacked by an individual and from it, I lost friends, family and my relationship. What was done about it once I reported who did it? Nothing. Recently a fellow friend of mine found a pedophile on Facebook who had pictures of children nude or semi nude. We reported the page and again what happens? Nothing. Yet innocent cosplayers pages are being deleted with little to no cause. We are not impersonating any real persons. Being in cosplay is a safe zone for some of us who have no self esteem and can be comfortable around others. Again, WE ask Facebook to stop deleting these accounts that people work so hard on for hours on end. This is doing more harm than good.

Everyone, you have all inspired me to keep going through with this because of your efforts and support. Each day I see more of you voicing your opinions and I truly enjoy seeing people standing up and seeking justice. I have had the honor of speaking with some of you and also meeting a few of you. It is a great pleasure and honor to be part of this and to show you that not all hope is gone. Keep doing what you do best and never give up. Even when it looks the worst, remember that I, L, will be here for all of you.

All of you who have signed and supoorted this petition are alol amazing in what you do. I have seen multiple attempts to reach facebook but they refuse to comment or hear out voices. However do not give up. This, our cosplays, are who we really are. It is a reflection of ourselves. and I, L, am claiming checkmate on Facebook. For everything they do, we, as a group, are larger than they will ever be. Therefore, we win. Keep strong and it is still an honor to see all of you and your support.

I want to thank all of you for standing up for yourselves, your friends and the cosplay community. We were targeted simply because we were easy to label as fake or a duplicate page. Violation of terms also include pornography, animal abuse, child porn, and so on but yet none of the other accounts with perverse names or ones who have pictures of child porn are even touched. Let's bring them down. Each of you remember this one thing "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything". Today we took a stand and should continue to do so from this moment on to protect ourselves as well as our interests/hobbies. You all are amazing in what you do. Thank you all.

I am a cosplayer myself. I have never had a cosplay account before, but I can understand the troubles it would cause if it were to be deleted.

Because I am also a cosplayer and I know how hard people work on their costumes and photographers take pride in the photos they produce. Its a way of sharing their efforts with their fans and I believe very strongly they should be allowed these pages.

As a cosplayer of my orirignal character, i think deleting accounts for no reason is mean. There is impersonations, its an escape and a place to exhibit our costumes which people work so hard on. By deleting that, it disheartens cosplayers.

As a cosplayer and artist, I believe it's only fair and right for the people who work so hard on their costumes and props to get their work out there. The work that's put into a cosplay is just as great as a musician's or artist's.
