Our vote in communities of color is valuable and important to us. Therefore, we want something in return for this valuable item

We demand the cessation of mass incarceration for non violent drug offenses, the abolition of the private prison industrial complex, and the end to the disproportionate stop and frisk of people of color in all cities across the United States.

Is this an empty promise? If Obama is re-elected, we all have enough resources and information to determine/assess the extent to which he has fullfilled this promise.

The question is: who would be better with the war on drugs: Obama or Romney -- those are our only two choices, at this time.

Last year, the NYPD stopped and interrogated people 685,724 times, a more than 600 percent increase in street stops since Mayor Bloomberg’s first year in office when there were only 97,296 stops. Nine out of 10 of people stopped were innocent, meaning they were neither arrested nor ticketed. About 87 percent were black or Latino.
