Employers have NO Business in A Women's Birth Control!

    1. The Women's Collective
    2. Petition by

      The Women's Collective

      Washington, DC

The Women’s Collective, together with the other agencies, wrote members of the Arizona House of Representatives to express concern for the State of Arizona's House Bill 2625.

House Bill 2625 violates the sexual and reproductive rights of women. Under this law, employers would be permitted to refuse covering any medication that would be used for contraceptive purposes and fire female employees who use birth control to prevent pregnancy.

Although this devastating piece of legislation failed to pass the Arizona Senate, it will be reconsidered at a later date. The time to act is NOW, please sign the petition and circulate to your friends and colleagues!

We are disappointed to share with you that an amended version of Arizona House Bill 2625 has been signed into law and is now a harsh reality for Arizona's women. Although The Women's Collective remains steadfast in the fight against repressive legislation such as this, we will close this petition. Thank you for your support!

I am so confused. So many employers refuse to hire pregnant women or women at all for fear of them having children and needing maternity leave. Now they can force women to get pregnant?

Because i dont think it is wise for women to have more children than they can properly love and take of .... because i come from a famitly of 6 children and my dad left us so i saw what it was to be a single mom and raise a family of six on one own.... because contraception does not mean you dont want to have children .. it means you decide how many you want and when ... because contraception is better than abortion

And because we are all tired and sick of men making the rules, having loads of babies and then dropping women for someone else and not even paying child support..

So yes for babies with a good faithful committed man but the number we truly want to have and we truly want to take care of and we are able to provide for .....it prevents the sufferance of too many children living unattended and in poverty ...

Children are beautiful but they deserve to be properly taken care of and looked after and providied for ....so planned parenhood is the way to do this while still having babies

      Top four, of endless, reasons:

      1. I oppose the war on women.

      2. Contraception is basic health care.

      3. Employers have no right to this information.

      4. Our politicians should be spending their time fixing the economy and creating jobs, not attacking women and their access to health care.
