Department of public welfare: Please bring back insurance coverage of Verbal Behavior to Philhaven

Verbal Behavior helped my daughter and many other children.  The Center for Autsim and Developmental Disabilities' Verbal Behavior based TSS/BSC program was recently defunded.  The Department of Public Welfare claims that behavioral health programs should not "educate" children.  However, my daughter and many other children lost access to Verbal Behavior services that were helping their speech, communication, and many other aspects directly related to behavior.

Bring back insurance coverage of Verbal Behavior to Philhaven's Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities

Sincerely,

Having two special needs children, I understand the importance of therapy team members to be able to "educate" our children. Their jobs are to TEACH our children the skills to cope with their stressors and function in the home as well as in public. Take away the ability to fufill the potentialof our children and you condem them as well as their families to a life filled with pain, heartbreak and institutions!!!
