The founding fathers established a wall between church and state in this nation's Constitution.  These radical methods are intended to convert patients into Christians and funding from the government not only legitimizes one particular faith over another, violating the Constitution, it is wrong to use taxpayer money to push controversial faith-based morality.  Allowing taxpayer money to fund extreme Christian counseling like bible-based anti-gay therapy goes against the foundations of this nation.

Michelle Bachmann, who is running for for the GOP Presidential nomination, operates such a clinic with her husband, Marcus Bachmann, and that clinic has received federal and state money while using extreme Christian methods to push their specific theology in hopes to convert troubled individuals.

This is wrong on so many levels and must be stopped.

Just saw a CNN special about the schools in the Bachmann's district that had the 9 suicides in 2 years. There is a website parents action league that is against diversity. They basically have this neutral policy that doesn't allow teachers to get involved if they hear things about homosexuals etc.... This group is total copies of Michelle Bachmann....it's scary. So put that in your search engine and send them an email. Get this around to friends etc....it's the only policy like it in the USA. This school district has the justice department, department of education and lawsuits about this policy. One of them is a LBGT organizations. 9 unwarranted suicides! It truly is beyond sad and when you add Bachmann's clinic and his unscientific way of praying away the gay these kids are under extreme emotional distress and pressure. They need a voice!

Mrs.Bachmann you recently stated to leave your husband out of your run for president, however, you use this business as part of your presidential rhetoric claiming you have knowledge with running a successful business unlike Obama. So it's fair game. Furthermore, in your district in Minnesota (district 6) you have had 9 suicides in the last 2 years from young adults that were bullied or gay. What is wrong with you? I seriously believe you have some type of mental illness and this funding should stop because the therapy used is not scientific and has been said it could cause extreme danger to our young adults and children. It is may belief your family business is nothing more than an extended church using your radical views as if it were a scientifically approved form of treatment. Why should the taxpayer pay for your experiment. Plus there needs to be a separation of church and state. Not only does you presidential agenda always use your religious beliefs to hide behind your clearly not following this item our founding fathers outlined. Your clinic should not get a penny from taxpayers because of this type therapy and the fact it as well is abusing that same issue. Your a hypocrite criticizing government handouts but feel in your thinking it's okay for you to receive just no one else.(your 260k farm subsides) your a fraud, liar and hypocrite this has to be a mental illness? Get yourself checked out!

This is so wrong. I live in the south where it's hard and more unacceptable to be gay. My parents are both borderline homophobic and definitely do not approve of my lifestyle, but even they said that this was wrong and something should be done about it.

Does Bachman have no shame? This is an outrageous conflict of interest!

As Bachmann referred to it: "Even barbarians need to be disciplined". I think not.

This type of institution should never be allowed to run. There is no evidence to support the effectiveness of "preparative therapy" in any way. It just teaches you to hate a certain part of yourself, and self hatred IS NOT therapy.
