To give the rights of Superman and related characters to the public domain.

Lately, there is political fervor over the hiring of Orson Scott Card by DC to write the first story of a Superman anthology. DC has been attacked, even though they've recharacterized one of their major characters (Alan Scott) as Homosexual, for hiring Orson Scott Card because of his stance on marriage. There has been calls for his firing, and there has been name calling on all sides. Quite frankly, the time has come for DC to release Superman into the public domain so that everyone can use him commercially. This is so that everyone can write stories for Superman without fear of legal action from the company.

DC Comics has owned a monopoly on Superman for over seventy years, and it's time that the public should own Superman and everyone should have the right to publish their own Superman comics. Whether it is slash fiction or not. This is so that people can have the freedom to have Superman their way.

To:
D.C. Comics
To give the rights of Superman and related characters to the public domain.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
