Christina Moore: I will submit these signatures at the Tribal counsil meeting, and hopefully get them to recognize the dire need for these services.

In an area where animals are often abused, neglected, abandoned, poisoned or shot, more needs to be done within the community to provide a safe retreat. Animals are allowed to run at large, with no effort to locate owners to issue citations, especially with aggressive animals. Spaying and neutering is not on their priority list, so animals continue to reproduce unwanted litters, and those litters are often "disposed of" either by drowning, or taken into the desert and dumped off to fend for themselves. These animals are shot by pellet guns, hit by cars, poisoned, and little is done to find the culprit. I am petitioning to the Pyramid Lake Tribe to take these issues more seriously and to create a grant, place it in a non profit animal sanctuary that could be managed by caring volunteers on the Reservation. Respond to animal abuse or animal related complaints professionally. I personally, have had my dogs poisoned, and animals dropped off inside of my gated property on several occasions. Sign the petition to create a safe haven for abandoned and unwanted pets, and for stiff penalties for animal owners who allow dogs to run free, or have a visibly neglected animal. Because I currently reside in CA, however I grew up going to that lake and it is a beautiful area to relax. I have always brought my dogs there as it is their favorite spot to swim and play and I just think it is absolutely disgusting to mistreat an animal, if they can do it to an animal they can do it to a human being. People are the real monsters, the animals are innocent and unfortunately are in a horrible place that was not their choice.

Il faut mettre sur pied ce type d'endroits. les besoins des animaux sont trop grands pour qu'on ferme les yeux.

Native Americans are associated with the respect of animals and nature so this is especially disturbing.
