I have basic cable. Local channels and 5 shopping stations. Local channels and 5 stations of choice would be a better deal. The price has more than tripled over the last 10 years. Time for an antenna and laptop.

I cut the cord on cable over a year ago, and can't believe all of the articifial rules in place to actually prevent me from watching television shows LEGALLY. Downloading your shows illegally, for free, is far less of a hassle, and sometimes the only option. Let me BUY your content!

The Spanish speaking channel? I don't speak Spanish. The Golf channel? Really?? Talk about "like watching paint dry". The religious channel? Yeah, I'm an Atheist. I don't see why people should have to pay for channels they don't watch or want.

I refuse to pay inflated prices for hundreds of channels I don't want. We cancelled our cable tv in August, and are doing just fine without it. Considering we only watched a handful of shows on a few different channels, it is cheaper by far to rent or buy the shows when they are released. (If we're even remotely still interested in them.) Yes, we can wait. The savings is worth the wait. We also do NOT miss having too many channels for our child to watch. Now we choose a show together on Netflix or Hulu plus, and decide in advance how many she can watch that day. Not only is it saving us money, it is saving us from being glued to the screen all day!
