Help save Cheboygan Memorial Hospital

Over 300 of Cheboygan Memorial Hospital's employees are now out of a job. In a town this size the implications are very serious. Not only could this financially break the town, but residents no longer have a hospital to take their children or loved ones for emergencies or treatments. This also affects Cheboygan Memorial Health Center, Women's & Children's Health Services and the Indian River Medical Center. We need to voice our concern and demand a better long term solution as well as the short term solution of having a license issued to keep the ER unit open.

My mother will be in Cheboygan for over a month this summer and she depends on the hospital for her blood tests and other needs. It is within walking distance of where she will be staying -- and for many other citizens of Cheboygan.

I saw how important a local hospital is when my father broke his leg years ago. Although he was transported to another hospital for his surgery, he was given initial treatment and stabilization at the Cheboygan hospital that was three blocks from his house.

Know people that work there, and know how important it is to the Rogers City community where I grew up!

Former resident. Would like to know there is a hospital available when I retire.

I lived in Cheboygan until 3 years ago when I was laid off due to a struggling economy. It was bad then and many families moved to other states to find work. There are many young families and senior citizens who live in Cheboygan who NEED a medical facility. Today, doctors have had to move to an even smaller town, Pellston, to practice leaving the other doctors to cram into a small doctor's office in Cheboygan to see patients. Something has to be done!!!
