Remove Rep. Paul Broun and Rep. Todd Akin from the committee

These two have made public statements that contradict the rational thinking of mainstream science. They are not on the committee in order to advance science to achieve progress, they are on the committee in order to protest whenever science contradicts their interpretation of scripture. Science is the path to our future. We can't allow this kind of thinking to hinder our progress.

I just saw Broun's deer-head/pit-of-hell video were he refers to himself as a scientist. The part that was perhaps the most frightening was the applause he received after his rant. Nobody misrepresenting science this much should hold public office, let alone decide on science funding.

Religious zealots have no place on the science committee. They have no right to impose their religious beliefs on our country through their membership on the science committee.

How can you expect a country to make scientific progress if you ignore overwhelming data in favor of personal beliefs. They are nothing but an insult and a handicap.

It is ludicrous for someone who denies science to be able to dictate its funding.

It boggles the mind that these 2 men are responsible for legislation regarding science. They are an embarrassment to the country
