Collector, Khammam: Fix the Borewell in Ramaraopeta village

    1. Petition by

      Swara For Change

      Ghaziabad, India

October 2012

1. More than 2800 signed the petition sending thousands of emails to the Collector asking him to take immediate action to fix the Borewell in Ramaraopeta village. 2. The District Collector of Khammam also received several phone calls from petition signers asking him to fix the Borewell. 3. On October 13th, a day after the petiion was launched the collector sent the engineers to inspect the Borewell and take it for repairs. 4. Within two weeks, the Borewell was fixed and the entire village has access to drinking water.

The only bore well in Ramaraopeta village, Dummugudem mandal, has not been working for many days.

We have complained many times to the local mandal officers but to no avail. We are struggling everyday problem as there is no easy access to safe drinking water. People in the village have to walk long distances for water everyday.

Access to drinking water is a human right but in our village that is not respected.

I am Kusaram Rambabu and through CGNET swara I am telling you about the plight of my village and the lack of any action by the concerned authorities.

Listen to my audio on CGnet Swara here:

Please join me in calling the District Collector of Khammam,Sri Siddarth Jain I.A.S,to immediately fix the bore well in my village and help us get access to safe drinking water.

After signing the petition call the District Collector, Sri.Siddarth Jain on - 08742- 224641, 08742- 224912 and ask him-

[1] Is he aware of the issue in Ramaraopeta village?
[2] Ask him when is he going to take action and get the bore well fixed?
[3] Will he take action against the mandal officers for their failure to get the bore well fixed?

The governing officers owe it to the public to do justice to the trust they've been entrusted with. Hopefully, this initiative will help them to take the cries of the poor more seriously and not get immune to it.
