Install bike lanes along Roosevelt St from 5th Ave to 7th St

Roosevelt Street currently experiences a high volume of bicycle use. Bicycle lanes significantly increase safety for bicyclists, vehicles and pedestrians. Phoenix City Council adopted the Downtown Plan in 2008 which recommends installation of bike lanes along Roosevelt Street between 5th Avenue and 7th Street.

Bike lanes are a necessary to preserve the safety of bicyclists. Honestly, I am shocked that the city doesn't already plan on adding bike lanes along this street.

As the manager of Tammie Coe on 6th and Roosevelt, i believe it would help our many cycling customers and employees to get to our location safely.

I live on Roosevelt and 7th Street and some of my best friends live on Roosevelt and 5th Avenue. I ride this corridor ever day, and I'm always worried about traffic, especially because some of the folks on the road have been drinking downtown. Cyclists love downtown, and I love the Roosevelt, so show us a little love and draw up some bike lanes!

I am an avid cyclist and I frequent that area and think there should be bike lanes as there is heavy bike traffic in that area. I think they should be all around ASU Downtown.

I work at the Fair Trade Cafe on Central and Roosevelt, and plan on moving to the area in a few months. Biking in such a non-bike friendly city is terrifying, but putting in bike lanes, especially in such a growing area, would do wonders for bike-ability and creating a better urban environment
