City of Chattanooga and Chattanooga Police Department: Appeal Judge Kim Summer's order

    1. Petition by

      Concerned Citizens for Justice

We, Concerned Citizens for Justice, are outraged and we know you are too. We demand that the City of Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Police Department immediately appeal Administrative Judge Kim Summers' order stating that former Officers Emmer and Cooley should get their jobs back and take whatever measures necessary to ensure that these officers are not placed back on our streets! We cannot stand silently by and let these officers back on our streets. We are making plans to respond to this decision. Sign the petition. Call or email Chief Bobby Dodd, Mayor Andy Berke, your City Councilperson and the City Attorney's office.

AND! Keep on signing and sharing the petition because in addition to appealing the decision, we are demanding the City "take whatever measures necessary to ensure that these officers are not placed back on our streets!"

Chattanooga to appeal decision ordering officers back on the job

Officer Adam Cooley, from left, Officer Sean Emmer Chattanooga Police Department Chattanooga will appeal a judge's decision to order the reinstatement of two police fired in connection with a severe beating.

    3. Chattanooga WILL Appeal Order to Reinstate Emmer and Cooley

Thanks to community pressure, the City of Chattanooga will appeal the order to reinstate Emmer and Cooley. HOWEVER, we do not know how long an appeal will take and this is NOT a guarantee these officers will not be back on our streets. So, we still need YOU to attend City Council Tuesday at 6pm to let the City know we're not going away until we know for certain Emmer and Cooley will not be on our streets!

Police should protect and serve, when they breech the peace, they should get what they deserve.

This made me shake with fear that a police officer could do this to my boys, or me.
