The House of Hope is the largest homeless facility in the State of Wyoming housing Veterans and their families and other temporarily homeless people. House of Hope operates without any government (City, County, State, Federal) assistance and has a proven track record of success, having re-homed over 200 people. There are adequate systems in place (smoke detectors, evacuation routes, a loudhailer ship's horn, 24 hour on duty staff who also perform floor checks and other safety measures) to alert the residents in case of fire. The House of Hope is undertaking significant steps in order to raise the capital necessary to comply with the City's fire ordinances.

I am a current Active Duty Marine. I've seen my fair share of veterans on the street and offer my help where I can. Some prefer to stay out on the streets and some really seek and need our help. I believe this is a great opportunity for all and a safe haven such as the Hope House should remain open at all cost.

A majority of the homeless are Veterans, and we owe them a great deal! As a former Wyoming resident, I know that the city of Casper can find a way to do the what is honorable. Please step up and make things work for -The House of Hope-

Veterans and their families need the support from all of us - no matter what state we live in - happy to try and help out!

I signed because there's no good reason, morally, not to! Why be an impediment to a great thing? Give them a little more time, donate if you can, and watch what happens. Progress will be made.
