The city of Saginaw has been tearing down historic homes and buildings that are an immensely important part of our heritage. There are very few lumber baron mansions left in this town and they are now planning to tear down probably the most famous and beautiful one we have left. Please support our efforts to stop them from destroying the magnificent home.

I grew up in Saginaw and it's sad to see all these old houses torn down, you should restore them instead! I remember growing up and the stories told about this house, my dad was a storyteller, he liked educating me on Saginaw's History.

I was always fascinated by this house when I was a child. As an adult I had the pleasure of taking care of owner while she was in hospital. Her love of animals warmed my heart and the stories she could tell about her past and this home were wonderful. Linda Atkins

I remember Rosemary from being an Adoption Partner for cats and dogs at the Saginaw Petsmart probably 15 years ago. She had sought me out to talk to and I had helped her place a few kitties that she had saved, and grew to know her. I didn't realize at that time where she lived, but had heard about the house. Now I am 67 years old and have grown to have a great respect for these old buildings. I crave to walk through these old buildings, what stories they could tell. If all of these old buildings are gone, what do we show & tell our children about how things were way back then. I do not live in Saginaw but live in Clare and with that being said, it really doesn't matter where someone lives if they can help people realize that these old houses, barns or other buildings, can tell the stories of our pasts. Please keep this part of so many of our lives.
