Each year numerous children are injured or die because of guns and ammunition as well as other weapons being carelessly stored and easily accessible for children to get a hold of in the home. While it is our right to own and bear arms, parents have the duty to protect their children from such things that can harm or kill them. Recently such a tragedy occurred in Nicholas County where a loaded firearm was left unsecured and a 10 year old boy shot and fatally wounded himself in the head. The parent and guardian failed to properly secure the weapon in a safe manner thereby causing harm to a minor child

Children of any age, should not be able to gain access to a gun! If they do then someone was not doing their job as a gun owner/parent!

I have 2 kids of my own and would never think about leaving a firearm out where they can get to it. Parents need to be responsible for their kids!!!

I am signing this to keep dangerous weapons away from innocent children. God bless the family who lost this wonderful young man. Turn ro God in your time of sorrow so that you may see him again. God will make something good come from this, He always does.
