A condition that puts a lot of children at risk for many of the issues listed in this section is poverty. Lack of access to basic requirements such as food, shelter and clothing are the underlying cause of poor child health, poor child nutrition, child labour, child marriage and various other issues. It widens the economic, social, cultural, and gender disparities already present in society. Poverty essentially threatens every child right: survival, development and protection. Poverty follows a vicious cycle as poor children grow up to be poor adults who then pass on debt to their children.
Children experience poverty differently from adults as it creates an environment which is harmful to their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual development. It can not be simply understood in terms of household income or household consumption. UNICEF defines as "Children living in poverty experience deprivation of the material, spiritual and emotional resources needed to survive, develop and thrive, leaving them unable to enjoy their rights, achieve their full potential or participate as full and equal members of society."
In a study on poverty faced by children, UNICEF found that children face seven areas of severe deprivation: adequate nutrition, safe drinking water, decent sanitation facilities, health, shelter, education and information.

Child marriages are brutal child abuse, child rape, child torture and child murder, because many child bridges are dieing of the abuse. This had to stop by law! Here are some very sad cases:The 13-year old Yemeni girl Ilham Mahdi al-Assi had been forced into marriage and once the husband let loose his animal instincts he did not spare the girl but ended her miseries once and for all times. The child bride died of rupture of her sex organs and excessive hemorrhaging. It was the outcome of what is known as 'swap marriage' in which the brother and sister of one family get married to another set of siblings of another family. Previous year, a 12-year old girl had died in Yemen during child birth. Mature pepole should realise the problems associated with child birth and should avoid putting tender age girls to face the difficulties of bearing children when their bodies are not biologically able to withstand the strains. Manama: Kuwaitis have called for stringent action against a family in Yemen after their eight-year-old daughter died of internal injuries on the first night of her arranged marriage to a man more than five times her age.Rawan died in city of Hardh in the Governorate of Hajjah in northwestern Yemen, Kuwaiti daily Al Watan reported on Sunday, quoting Yemeni media. She is believed to have suffered a tear to her genitals and severe bleeding.

Yemeni activists urged the local police to arrest the “beastly groom” and the girl’s family and transfer them to a court where justice would be served and the case would be used to help put an end to the practice of marrying very young girls in the impoverished country, the daily said. Female childs don't want to have intercourse with brutal men, they want a happy childhood and they want to go to school. To force children to marriage is the greatest crime on this planet, to torture the childs with FGM before the marriage too. These men of these countries are a big shame for all men worldwide!
