**For a valid petition we need U of H students, faculty members or alumni, please say so in the "Why People Are Signing" section.**

A place dedicated to educating is not a place for supporting any organization that discriminates against other human beings, for their religion, race or sexual orientation.

After the President of Chick-fil-a, Dan Cathy, reaffirms stance against gay marriage "the Muppets are the latest celebrities to jump on the "Eat Less Chicken" bandwagon, boycotting Chick-fil-A in the wake of its declaration opposing same-sex marriage."

‎"Chick-Fil-A's charitable division, WinShape Foundation, works with and supports such groups as the National Organization for Marriage, the Ruth Institute, the Pennsylvania Family Institute, Focus on the Family, and Exodus International among others, all fighting to ban marriage for same-sex couples, and some advocating for the "curing" of homosexuality."

This is our campus and we have a say in what is placed here. Please help to remove Chick-fil-a from our campus. To further more boycott Chick-fil-a stop buying their products on campus. If the University wont voluntarily remove them, we can by depleting their sales and forcing them off the Campus.

I do not want my old alma mater to support a company that hates me! I am a gay man by the way living with my partner.

I am a student at UH. I have plenty of friends who are lgbt and I do not support Chick-fil-A's donations towards Anti-Gay organizations which attempt to demonize or harm people that have nothing wrong with them. It is not the company's stance on marriage equality that makes me mad such as the media may portray, rather I am against the millions in donations to these organizations that harm my friends, teachers, and others.

Human Rights include freedom to select and follow one's sexual expression as long as no harm is done to others. Live and Let Live.
