Its what I love, its what my grandfather and father have taught me. Without hunters there wouldn't be Pacific Flyway or a NWR system to support it.

Because I want to hunt ducks with my son and daughter without having to drive 3 or more hours to go hunting elsewhere. I live in Marin county and I support the ethical, sustainable and lawful hunting of ducks, geese and all game animals in general -- I cherish the opportunity to feed my family non-corporate/industrial food that isn't pumped full of antibiotics and hormones and packaged in styrofoam and cellophane. All the food I feed my family shouldn't have to be "raised" in industrial feed lots, distributed by refrigerated trucks and kept frozen in supermarkets using massive amounts of fossil burning fuels in the hopes that someone will buy it before the expiration date. Something so fundamental as feeding my family shouldn't require me to enrich someone else's bottom line all the time as if though raising an animal in an industrial feed lot and slitting it's throat for the purposes of savoring the taste of meat is so much better than killing a wild animal and enjoying both the act of hunting and the antibiotic and hormone free sustenance it provides. I want my children, at least once-in-awhile, to fully participate in and know what nature has sacrificed -- yes, a life -- for them to be omnivores. We are already so disconnected from our food, especially our protein, why disconnect us even more?
