Even the humane death of healthy animals for display purposes only is disturbing.

Patrick, I am with you all the way. What a vacuum of ethics and morals among these people. In their media statement Dan Taylor the head of the Board said that the mules "fit the needs" of the museum and that by saving them from slaughter and killing them themselves they would be "immortalized". How arrogant and egotistical! Unbelievable! Lubbock will forever be remember for this.

You don't kill an animal just to put it on display! At least no one should!

These mules should have been retired, not killed for public viewing. Extremely cruel people doing extremely cruel things to animals. Glad they aren't relatives of mine.

Simple: they were living beings who had their lives taken and their bodies defiled. There's been enough cruelty and indignity done to these poor mules.
