Bud Selig, Commissioner of Major League Baseball

Force Jeffrey Loria to Sell the Miami Marlins Franchise

    1. Petition by

      Miami

During his tenure, Mr. Loria has not revived the South Florida fan base, but hindered. After building a tax-payer funded stadium, he has once again sold off the majority of the team for his own personal profit. A generation of potential baseball fans has been all but decimated in South Florida. The South Florida community does NOT want a repeat of Montreal.

To:
Bud Selig, Commissioner of Major League Baseball
Force Jeffrey Loria to Sell the Miami Marlins Franchise

Very important to me to have a stable franchise not one that sells everything it has and operates a team for a business and not to win championships. I can't be a true fan to support that.

I didn't agree with the public funding of the stadium to begin with because of the economic problems our city was already having. This just shows Jeffrey Loria's true intentions - to make as much money as possible while pushing cost to outsiders that have no say in operational decisions.

Mr. Loria has destroyed the passion I once held dear in my heart. The game of baseball itself has tarnished my desire to even watch a game I played and admired my entire life. If the team isn't sold, I can't promise ill ever watch Major League Baseball again.
