Brook Run Park

    1. Petition by

Friends of Brook Run Park Dunwoody

There is no evident justification to spend $420,000 versus $132,000 and destroy a significant portion of the forest canopy in Brook Run Park with a 12-foot concrete trail with 48% not following the original 8-foot asphalt trail.

Therefore, the undersigned hereby request the return to the original Department of Natural Resources trail grant submission for the renovation of the existing 8-foot asphalt trail.

That path thru the forest is no 12 ft. May our children forgive us for we know not what we do.

Brook Run Park is a family-friendly park and a delight, largely because of the perfect balance between the trees and landscape, and the playground and trails. There is NO NEED to waste taxpayer money in overdoing it--just make the improvements to the current walking paths, and leave Mother Nature alone PLEASE.

      Respectfully,

      Michael Dalmat

This is a wonderful park with great trees. 8 foot trail should be more than sufficient for all to use while leaving trees for all to enjoy.

This is important to me because I care about the environment, and because I care about finances.
