Florida is the ONLY state without parole!!!!!!  Florida is the ONLY state to demand that inmates must do 85% of their time before release.  Florida prisons are soooo overcrowded that some inmates do not even have pillows!!  They sleep on iron cots, with a thin mat, with springs poking into their backs!!  They have no fans or airconditioning in the horrendous heat of a Florida summer and 1 thin blanket to keep them warm in the cold of the winter.  Food portions have been cut in 1/2, and there is no job training available to most prisoners.  Florida prisons are sooooo overcrowded because they don't let anyone out, other states have parole and other states let inmates out after completing 65% of their sentence.  Florida has a 0 tolerance rule and 10/20/LIFE, the judges do not look at each case on it's own merit, they just hand out sentences according to points!!!!  It's not working!!!!  Other states have made changes to their prison systems, Florida is the only hold out!!!  It's time for Florida to catch up with every other state in the United States, time to admit that what they have been doing simply doesn't work and is soooo unfair to so many.   Every case is different and should be looked at on it's own merits.  A Parole Board would be able to look over many cases where an inmate never should have been sent to prison in the first place.  Right now, once you're in a Florida prison, it is next to impossible to get out!! Florida currently has more inmates per capita than ANY other state!!!  Our prison system is BROKEN, let's do something about it!!!!!  BRING BACK PAROLE and REDUCE TIME SERVED TO 65%!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please bring the parole and please give a second chance to inmates that diserve it. Also if u do so. Create jobs for inmates when there are released so they could work so they dont get in trouble.

I cannot believe there is no parole in Fla.

What makes FLA DIFFERENT THAN THE REST?

I HAVE A NEPHEW/BROTHER in prision there and has been for awhile now, never to get in trouble, does what is suppose to do and still, no drop in time and NO PAROLE. Why do they keep these prisions so over populated and making everyone suffer?

Also what is this doing to our tax $$$.My brother is in for something he wasn't guilty of[I guess everyone believes that],but it is the truth and he and his wife will prove that, but still he is serving, without getting a drop in time

, just as I am sure others are.or parole.

PLEASE HELP THESE WHO SO RIGHTFULLY DESERVE JUSTICE>

Florida is the only state with a parole!!! Florida state bestt interest is to senteced people to as many years as possible. Because this is the way they make money to keep their economy flowing. It is a shame that for a crime that everywhere else in the nation you get a few months you end up serving a life sentence. It is time that florida finds another resource to make money instead of destroying the lives of these young men and their families. Florida state system is corrupted and broken and yet you are not sending an example to anyone. At the same time the correctional officers are corrupted and defenetely not serting an example for this inmate. Dont continue to over crowd your prison's instead find a way to rehabilate these inmate. Allow them to have an opportunity to reestablished themselves back into society and allow them to have their lives back. I would love for a judge to sped a day in a florida state prison. Its unhuman!!!!

My son just turned 22 and struggled with prescription drugs in FL, like 85% of them coming from our state and my son deserves 7 years in state prison? I have 5 children and this is a sin. It is a huge expense to families and does nothing for the system or society except give money to this horrible system. He is a person and well educated and is not getting any treatment or education.
