It's the principle of having green belt which is in danger of being eroded and conveniently concreted over is at stake here. And the more it happens, the weaker greenbelt protection will become. There's also a danger of small communities being lost having been swallowed up by villages becoming joined. Once that happen's, village life styles diappear. Many people choose to live in a village community because they want to - why should they have to loose their way of life? Greenbelt land and green spaces serve a very important role in harminising and enriching peoples lives, providing somewhere tranquil to escape to and providing health therapy.

How can we ever trust councillors to represent the vast majority of the electorate? I like so many other people find this decision to be appalling and arrogant. Surely this decision is driven by money and not by logic, how that guy Luff must be laughing, it's disgraceful. We desperately need to protect our recreation areas, we are loosing them and they will never come back, how very sad. Instead we will have a sprawl of houses covering the Bracknell, Binfield, Wokingham triangle all linked together with gridlocked roads! Maybe it's time to find somewhere else to live?

Well, the photo on this page says it all - it's a beautiful green open space that provides a fantastic local venue for many activities and social events. My son is employed with the golf club which is ideally located for him to get to. It has provided him with his first experience of employment and independence.

I used to live in Binfield and play golf there. It was good to know there was so much open space around.

I live within a mile of Blue Mountain Golf Course and do not want to see yet more developement in an area which already has thousands of houses being built, we need protected green space here.
