Darrell Issa (R-CA), as chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has disgraced the House and used his position as a partisan pulpit from which to bully his Democratic colleagues and the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder.

In the months long investigation of the so-called "Fast and Furious" scandal, chairman Issa refused to let Democratic members of the committee call even one witness. He conducted his own personal kangaroo court whereby he called the Attorney General a "liar" without any supporting evidence, repeatedly insinuated that the Attorney General was covering up the events surrounding the death of a federal agent (again without any supporting evidence), rejected the asserted executive privilege of the President of the United States, and finally, led the House in a vote to hold the Attorney General in contempt of Congress on 28 June, 2012.

The actions by Darrell Issa are a disgrace, are not worthy of participation by serious legislators and I urge our Democratic representives to render his committee utterly meanlingless by refusing to dignify it with your participation.

Holder has not held Congress in contempt. He gave them a whole bunch of info about the gun program. It was a stupid program but that's not contemptuous of Congress. The Rebublicant party is just trying to create a scandal so they can run on it among their voters who don't follow real news.

Darrell Issa epitomizes special interest-fueled partisan politics. It is time for him to start representing his constituents, for a change.

I am signing because I'm sick and tired of the Republicans wasting tax payer money on their witch hunts. They did it when Clinton was in office and they are doing again. Like sore losers.

Issa is like the fox guarding the hen house...Really, this contempt charge is just the latest from the GOP trying to find something on President Obama, you have had no success so far and it shows...Stop wasting money we don't have.

You poor excuse for a public official...resign now or take your punishment later....the whole GOP is a joke and making the rest of the world look at us the greatest nation in the world look like a poorly written sitcom....I as an American are sick of them making us look bad as a nation...Vote them all out so we can get our country back on the road to prosperity......
