Recall toxic Hartz products!

Sadly, Bowie’s story is all too familiar for most. The flea and tick products sold by Hartz have been known to cause illness and death, yet they are still being sold by major retailers everywhere. Ignorant pet owners fall victim to their affordable prices and EPA approval, only to realize the dangers once their beloved pet(s) succumb to the poison.

When Bowie’s owner discovered fleas resting in his fur, she acted as a responsible cat-lover and treated him with the Hartz flea medicine sold at her local store. When he developed a rash, she rushed him to the emergency veterinary clinic. Bowie's prognosis was grim, his infection was spreading and with no alternatives, he was put to rest.

I am starting this petition in Bowie’s memory. Together we can make a difference and prevent any other pets from suffering.

If you are signing this petition, you are joining the fight to recall the toxic Hartz products.

The pet industry needs to be more responsible and support animal causes. They should also lobby to ban all non-native species, especially reptiles.

I heard about this years ago with HARTZ flea medicine. I never knew anyone who had it happen to their pet. I thought maybe it was just a rumor or tale, but just to be on the safe side I wouldn't try it on my cats. I hear the same things about the chicken jerky treats for dogs. How can any retailer sell thesthis stuff to just torture animals? Especially when pet owners are trying to do the right thing by their pets and unknowingly end up killing them.....This is sick!

To Raise awareness that a Popular Name Brand does NOT Guarantee a Safe Product. No Pet should have to suffer such a fate.
