Allow South Asians to have a dedicated Prayer Space

      Boston, MA

This petition is aimed at garnering support for a much-needed prayer space dedicated to the almost 1,000- person strong South Asian religious community represented on BU's campus. Due to the lack of space, many of the religious items/idols have been breaking that have had to be placed in an overcrowded closet.

Let's try to make BU a greater school by giving all groups the respect they need and deserve. Please sign your name below and let your voice get heard!

Thanks!

BU needs to give students of all faiths the respect they need and deserve. This is absolutely horrifying!

It is disrespectful of our faith and I wouldn't want my younger brother (would be BU Class of 2014 if he joins) to be at a campus that can't respect us.

As a member of the BU Zen group, I sympathize with the homelessness of South Asian religious groups; for many years we didn't have an appropriate space. BU needs to devote more of its resources to finding all of its diverse assortment of religious groups better accommodations.
