Return Justina Pelletier to Her Family!

Justina Pelletier and her parents have been separated for almost a year with minimal visits being allowed.  As one story puts it, "she is TRAPPED" in Boston's Childrens' Hospital.

There is no reason, including clinical, as witnessed by her private psychologist, whose care she has been under for years.  The bottom line is that her return would be the right and moral thing to do.

The fundamental question here is, What would you do? What would I do if this was you or me? When we answer this question, perhaps it will help guide us towards doing all that we can, the least of which is to sign a petition.  Remember, this all too true adage:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men (and women) do nothing."      ~ Edmund Burke

DCF: Olga Roche resigns as child welfare agency chief - The Boston Globe

Governor Deval Patrick appointed a longtime state transportation official Tuesday to replace the commissioner of the state Department of Children and Families, which has been in turmoil following the recent deaths of three children. Erin Deveney, a lawyer who has spent most of the last decade at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, will take over DCF following the resignation Tuesday of Olga I.

The head of Massachusetts' Department of Children and Families has been fired and replaced. There are mixed emotions as to whether or not this will have any bearing on Justina's plight. I am hopeful that it will, but time will reveal all. We all feel it's past time for her and her family to be reunited. #FreeJustina

To each and every supporter of this cause, l'd like to assure you that your signature means more than one can describe. I've personally sat with a couple who found themselves in a similar situation as the Pelletiers, only they lost 3 of their children to the courts on an ill-founded charge. One of those children was an infant, snatched from her mother's arms.

While I don't know the Pelletiers, I do know their feeling of hopelessness and confusion. Yet, I know for every signal of support they receive from others, helps them to put one foot in front of the other.

This petition will circulate four more days (through December 3rd). It will then be delivered to state and federal officials, as well as to Boston Children's Hospital, ahead of the Pelletier's December 5th court date.

Will you join me in giving it one last concerted push? Thank you and all the best wishes for a treasured season of both Thanksgiving and Blessings to you and yours! ~ Zenobia

A hearty thank you to all who have helped us meet half of our signature goal! Let's continue the momentum on behalf of the Pelletiers and the release of their daughter. As one supporter said, "If Justina were my child, I'd want as many people as possible to help us."
