Fire Nichole Bourgeois as Parkway High School Principal

    1. Petition by

      Fire Nichole Bourgeois

Dr. Nichole Bourgeois is a disgrace to the South Bossier community and Bossier Parish in general.  She has multiple lawsuits naming her as a defendant and recently has been accused of condoning and ignoring bullying at Parkway High School which lead to the suicide of a student. There is a pending lawsuit by the family of the student as well as a lawsuit by a former school nurse accusing Bourgeois of harassment and retaliation for expressing concerns that nothing was done to help the student who committed suicide. After Dr. Nichole Bourgeois had a visiting coach handcuffed and removed from the field in 2012, the LHSAA penalized the school by banning them from hosting any playoff games for the 2013 season. The coach that was handcuffed is now suing Bourgeois along with the school and the school board. This is just the tip of the iceberg; countless students have been bullied and harassed by this principal. The Bossier Parish School Board needs to REMOVE her from her position as Principal of Parkway High School immediately before she causes anymore heartache and embarrassment to our community.

To:
Jack Raley, District 1 - Bossier Parish School Board
Brad L. Bockhaus, Vice-President, District 2 - Bossier Parish School Board
Jill S. Frost, District 3 - Bossier Parish School Board
Tammy Smith, District 4 - Bossier Parish School Board
Michael S. Mosura II, District 5 - Bossier Parish School Board
Glenwood "Glen" Bullard, District 6 - Bossier Parish School Board
J. W. Slack, District 7 - Bossier Parish School Board
Kenneth M. Wiggins, District 8 - Bossier Parish School Board
Eddy Ray Presley, President, District 9 - Bossier Parish School Board
Samm Darby, District 10 - Bossier Parish School Board
Barbara Rudd, District 11 - Bossier Parish School Board
Kay Padgett Byrd, District 12 - Bossier Parish School Board
DC Machen, Superintendent - Bossier Parish School Board
Fire Nicole Bourgeois from Parkway High School.

Sincerely,

    2. Our Response to DC Machen - Part 2

"Many fights have been won in the arena of publicity, which is what we are doing. We are not defaming anyone or being malicious, they only things discussed on this page are facts which have been published in Federal court and the facts of personal experiences of those who have been bullied and the stories of those who can't be told due to the inadequate attention to this serious problem."

    3. Our Response to DC Machen - Part 1

"If you break that into one thought, he is saying I'm going to do what I'm going to do regardless of the reality of the situation and the strong opinions of those who elected him. Social media is the avenue that is now predominately used to make political figures more transparent. It's not 1968 anymore and you cannot continue to hide behind the boardroom meeting doors and expect for people to not question your decisions. Our motivation here is to protect the children of Bossier Parish and if that means exposing people who simply do not care and have placed themselves in the position where they are required to, than that is the most important thing to be said of all of this. Children placed in these positions often feel like they do not have the power to change the circumstances and parents need to teach their children that they do." **See Part 2 for the rest of our response.**

    4. DC Machen's Response

      From KSLA:
"I will not validate grievances, personal attacks or agendas posted on social media sites about Dr. Bourgeois or any administrator or employee of Bossier Parish Schools by commenting on them,"
"As Superintendent of Bossier Schools, the Board delegates to me the authority to supervise the operations of the school system, including ensuring compliance with all school, state and federal laws. When evaluating any employee's effectiveness and performance, it is incumbent on me to strictly adhere to these specific guidelines and procedures that require validated evidence and documentation to support the assessment. Failure to do so negates and denies the employee's due process. In fulfilling my responsibilities as Superintendent, I can not be swayed by the court of personal opinion, nor will I set a precedence of subjecting principals or any employee of Bossier Schools to the unscrupulous vindictiveness of those with personal agendas by validating them with comments."

    5. Bossier Parish School Board Response

      From KSLA:
"The school board released the following statement regarding Presley's comments:

"It has come to the attention of the Bossier Parish School Board that an individual serving on the Board recently made remarks on social media sites. The individual's remarks do not represent the views of the Board or the School District. Bossier Parish School Board policy (BBBA) clearly states: 'The members of the Bossier Parish School Board shall have authority only when acting as a Board legally in session. The Board shall not be bound in any way by any action or statement on the part of any individual Board member except when such statement or action is in pursuance of specific instructions from the Board."

The statement goes on to say that, "As your elected representatives, we value the opinions and input, whether positive or negative, from all people throughout Bossier Parish and strive to act fairly and impartially for the greater good of the students and families we serve."

I went to parkway from 2004 until 2007 and years she had just came

to parkway. She was rude to the students and to the parents, I was pulled from parkway in 2007 because of her not wanting to help get rid of this guy harassing me threatening me she told me if I would have hung around a different crowd this would not be happening.

She is a health Hazard for any student mentally and physically hindered, she is very inappropriate with parents. If you are wanting the best interest of the students I would get her dimissed from her position and dutys.
