Bonnie Investment Group: Bring A Bowling Alley To Evanston Plaza!

The West Side of Evanston is in the process of revitalization, and a bowling alley is a reasonably priced, indoor activity that residents in and around town would take full advantage of. Bowling attracts patrons from every generation and socioeconomic group, from seniors to students. Northwestern students and staff host thousands of visiting families every year. Visitors from surrounding areas can access Evanston Plaza by car (there's a plentitude of  parking) or bus. Your website describes Evanston as a place that thrives on its small-town feel with big city connections. Evanston needs a bowling alley to bring residents together, to reinvigorate the West Side of town, and to provide a much-needed outlet for the youngest members of our community.

Christine, this is a great idea. It is a use that we have pursued. We reached out to Brunswick Corp. to find that they are not currently opening new facilities. Thus far, we have not been able to source any independent operators to consider this location.
If you know of a bowling operator with the financial capability to build out their space and open here, we're happy to consider them and reach out to Dominick's for their required approval.
The current size and layout of the available space is unusual and may not lend itself to a bowling alley configuration, however, I'm happy to provide a space plan to any interested parties.

I was born and raised in Evanston and think that at this time there is a need for choices for the young people.

I'm a life long Evanstonian. I'd love to see some positive improvement brought to the West Side of Evanston that we all can enjoy. We shouldn't have to drive to another city to enjoy some good family entertainment. This is a great idea!

It would be great to have another option for indoor activities for adults, children and families. The location is great - underutilized retail area that is easily accessible by public transportation and has plenty of parking!

We have long needed an entertaining outlet that provides physical and social stimulation for our community--particularly our young people. This would fill that need quite well, and be a thriving business for an entrepreneur.
