Toby was the beloved dog who belonged to Alle Noland, a 9-year-old South Carolina girl with autism. Last week Toby was kidnapped, beaten to death with a baseball bat, and his body was heartlessly dumped in the family's front yard.

As the Post and Courier explains, Alle and Toby were best friends. Toby took great care of the little girl - he had a calming effect on her and acted as her service dog. Animal abuse, cruelty, and murder can NOT be tolerated and the person responsible for Toby's death should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has said that they are investigating, but we need more attention on this case and more support from the public!

There is a new Post & Courier article about the outpouring of support that the Nolan family has received -- there is even new legislation in the works as a result of all the supporters! Please continue to share this petition and visit https://recipients.microgiving.com/profile/malloryverner to donate to the cause. I have planned to pool all donations from this site with other individuals that are fundraising as well, and the money will all go to the Noland family :)

I know that it is not possible to replace Toby, as Alle and Toby had a connection and a friendship that no amount of money could buy. However, no one deserves to go through what Alle's family went through, and this child deserves to have a friend in her life who can take care of her just as Toby did. Alle's family cannot afford the high cost of a trained service dog, so I am asking for donations to help their family in acquiring one for Alle. The cost of a service dog is extremely high, but I am confident that if we all give just a little bit, we can successfully reach our goal.

The abuse and murder of a beloved pet must be taken seriously!! Just like our children, we care about our pets as if they were family. How would you prosicute a man that killed one of your family members? It should be the same for your furry family member also!!
