Brooke Murray: The Director has resigned!

Volunteers at the shelter have reported animals being neglected by staff. They have had to do the work of the staff and have now been dismissed because they complained about the director of the shelter. The shelter murdered adoptable animals, including this puppy, when they had 16 free kennels. There is no reason to put up with this mismanagement. Stand up for the animals they need you!

Replace the Bastrop animal shelter manager and stop killing adoptable animals

Sincerely,
[Your name]

The animals deserve someone that is working to SAVE them and someone who has their best interests at heart. Please replace Diane Mollaghan immediately with someone who knows how and WANTS to save animals!

I would think that Diane Mollaghan's latest DWI (more than one, really?!) should have county commissioners reconsidering accusations previously brought forth in regards to her running of the shelter. This DWI as described in the press, was a doozy, and if you can't make the right decisions about risking your and other's life on the road, maybe you're making some other questionable decisions as well. Even taking the criticisms about adoptable animals being put down (because I don't think this is a no-kill shelter yet), the living condition of the animals should be enough to put her methods into question. I've worked with animals all my life, and in shelter environments for years in the past and the concerns of the volunteers and others ring true to me.

I live in Maine but adopted the best dog in the world- rescued by a volunteer at the last second before euthanasia. Trust their opinions, they've earned it.

We have amazing volunteers and for them to be sent away? That tells me that the director and staff DO NOT WANT anyone to know of their lack of care and wrong doing. Get Her OUT! And let the city officials know that WE CARE about our shelter! We want someone that believes in NO KILL, not Kill Them All!
