Corporations like Coke, Pepsi and Nestle have manufactured demand for bottled water - building a market by eroding confidence in public tap water. The repercussions of this corporate abuse are social, economic and environmental. We need to start holding corporations accountable and no longer allow them to capitalize on our college campus.

I am a board member of Michigan Citizens for Water Conservation, the organization that fought Nestle Ice Mountain for 10 in years in court and cut their pumping in half (no thanks to that pseudo-Democrat, former Government Jennifer Granholm).

this is not just a conscious effort to protect the health of our ecosystem, this is about people's right to access public water. This is about people who live next to those godforsaken plastic plants who get cancer, get stuck with the bill, and then can't afford to move because noone in their right mind would buy their house. this is about the swirling mass of plastic in the ocean, and we will not stand for this because a world of plastic is not the kind of world we want to live in!
