Aurelia, Iowa: Get Service Dog Out of Jail and Back With His Owner!

In the small town of Aurelia, Iowa, a retired police officer and stroke victim Jim Sak is currently without the benefits his service dog, Snickers. Why? The city thinks he might be a pit bull. Or at least enough pit bull to be banned from their city. They have enforced their breed ban and Snickers is sitting in a kennel instead of doing his job helping Jim. Please sign this petition to let local officials know that we're all in support of Jim and Snickers being reunited and that breed specific legislation is not the solution.

I owned a pitbull dog for 16 years . she loved children and got along with 14 cats while we all lived in a motorhome. they are not bad dogs. the owners are the blame for them being termed bad . If people wouldn't train them to be agressive they would not be that way. any dog can be vicious , This man deserves to have his service dog. bad dogs are taught to be bad dogs. Jim served our country and his dog is helping him to survive. How cruel are you people. Your actions will tell. this man deserves his best freind and supporter.

Breed bans don't work and this is a great example of that. Use your head, not laws that are prejudice.

because it is breed discrimination. Federal law states you can not discriminate against breed. The service dog are life line, a need, an exstintion of the person who needs them.
