There are a number of great Amazon.com wishlists and registries out there from volunteer organizations getting help to people that need it the most. Support is pouring in from around the country and the least we ask that Amazon.com do is provide free shipping for items on these registries. Relief organizers are sending a large amount of business to Amazon.com through these efforts.  We are doing our part, we ask that Amazon.com help and do theirs!

I have volunteered 6 days in storm-ravaged areas and we don't have enough assistance out here. Corporations with the money to do so (especially those benefitting from the storm, like Amazon), should step up and help too.

Everyone should have what they need on a daily basis. Relief teams need all the help they can get.

Such a small thing Amazon can do that would mean SO much to people who lost SO much!

Amazon is benefitting from this influx of business. Book orders over a certain amount get free shipping, so it's reasonable to provide it for this worthy cause, and a generous gesture of good will.
