Dear Apple Inc.,
I have been a loyal Apple customer for many years. I have iPhones, iPods, Macbook, iMacs and several devices that require your 30-pin connector.
I am extremely disappointed at how Apple is treating its loyal customers after I learned more about the iPhone 5 features. I understand that technology evolves so the need for a smaller connector is granted and thus a smaller connector may be needed to replace the standard 30-pin connector; however, I cannot believe that this lightning to 30-pin connector is not included when purchasing a new iPhone 5.
What about all your customers who have purchased devices that require a 30-pin connector? Do we need to spend hundreds of dollars now to make sure they all work with the new iPhone?
To make matters worse, I am reading reports that indicate that some docks, speakers and car models are not likely to work with Lightning or the new adapter.
I personally feel mistreated. Not including the adapter when buying an iPhone 5 is almost offensive. You have to respect your loyal customers and treat them with apppreciation. It is not logical to think that you can come out with an update of an old product and people have to either throw away all their equipment that used to be compatible with Apple or buy an adapter for the not-so-modest amount of $29 in the US and $39 in Europe.
I hope that Apple reconsiders its position and offers a free Lightning to 30-pin adapter to all buyers of the iPhone 5.
