Sam Callica: We banded together with a common vision and achieved results! Our voice was heard by Apple!

Animation elements of iOS 7 are causing motion sickness, dizziness, vertigo, fatigue, nausea, migraines, vomiting etc.

On Friday I received my iPhone 5s with iOS 7. I was so excited to see all the features the phone and new iOS offered. Unfortunately those feelings of joy were quickly followed by dizziness, nausea and migraines. Why? The animation elements constantly zooming in and out simulated space travel. While that may sound cool to some it is a nightmare for someone who suffers from motion sickness. While the reduce motion option found in iOS 7 is a good start it is inadequate in preventing my motion sickness. A quick Google search showed that I was not alone, complaints were pouring into Apple product forums, news media outlets and calls to Apple Support.

Whether you suffer from a vestibular disorder, chronic migraines, Ménière's disease, vertigo, dizziness, or motion sickness this petition is for YOU. This is our unified voice. If you want to keep your iOS 7 but don’t want it to make you sick please sign this petition to get Apple to add an option to disable all the animation elements simulating travel in iOS 7. When you're done here call 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466) and have Apple add your name to the list of people for which iOS 7 is making sick. Together we can make this happen!

Well it's been 3 weeks since I've installed iOS 7.0.3 and I'm happy to say that my motion sickness is completely gone :) but wait I'm not alone, here's what others are saying:

Thanks to everyone who came on this journey. We've proved banding together with a common vision can achieve results. I hope all of you enjoy your Apple devices. I'm enjoying learning about the new features so much I've written an article about the 10 most fun things you can do with your iPhone. You can read it here:

iOS 7's Motion Sickness Problem Isn't Going Away

Weeks after a string of initial reports that Apple's newest operating system was causing dizziness, nausea and migraines in a small percentage of customers, frustrations and complaints from afflicted iOS users continue to mount. While only a small group seem to be afflicted by the animations, it's a particularly vocal minority.

I have been getting headaches, dizziness and neck pain like many other people from the iOS upgrade. The text is also very hard to read causing a strain on my eyes. Please fix thi problem so I don't have to keep spending money on Dr. Appointments.
