A 10-week-old puppy named Charles was left in a freezing cold truck with no food or water for 3 days. The dog is currently in the custody of the City of Edmonton’s Animal Care and Control Centre while police continue their investigation to determine if the owner should have the dog back. Please help us petition the owner from getting Charles back and put him up for adoption so somebody can give him the best life possible. This poor little guy has been through enough trauma in the start of his life. He deserves to be treated like a prince!

I have had numerous emails sent to the edmonton police, the animal control center. It seems nobody really cares about this animals well being. With your support, I would like to send this Petition to the city clerk, so it may be brought up in court, in hopes of assissting the judgement if this owner should have this dog back.

Of course, we dont know why the owner left the dog in the truck for 3 days. But as any human knows, if you are sick or unable to care for your animal, you let friends, family, authorities - know that your dog is in the truck and to help him.

This person obviously did not care. Cruel - Harsh - Mean - UNHUMANE!

Please Help me - Help Charles the Puppy........

I sent an email and made numerous calls to them informing them of this petition and wanted to know how the dog was doing and what is going on with his adoption status. This is their reply.

      "Dear Stephanie,

Thank you for your email dated December 1, 2012.

Charles is being housed at the Edmonton Humane Society and under the Alberta Animal Act a judge must now decide if he is to be returned to his owner.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to email us back.

      * When i called the humane society, they had no idea where the dog was and the assured me they did not have the dog in their care.*

Somebody is not being honest and i would like to get to the bottom of this, Its not a contraversy about them, Its about this poor dog getting a home.

If you would like to support me , please also write an email to the animal control center asking they agree to be honest and help.

This individual does not have the capacity in any way to care for an animal. It is amazing the puppy survived. There is no justification for this treatment of a helpless creature. Please do not allow this person to own any animals, let alone have this puppy back.

Charles deserves to have an owner who is more aware and attentive to the physical and social needs of living beings. This poor puppy has been through a traumatic and life-threatening ordeal at the hands of this irresponsible, ignorant individual and should NOT be returned to his 'owner'. The 'owner' should be investigated and possibly charged with inflicting animal cruelty. These kinds of people should not be allowed to have animals.

Please DONT give this Puppy back to his cruel owner. Adopt him to a loving family and charge the owner with Animal cruelty.

The person who thought it was OK to leave a puppy alone in the cold without food or water for 3 days has proven only one thing. This person is not fit to care for a puppy and should not be given the opportunity to further abuse and neglect Charles. Please, keep the best interests of a living, feeling being in mind and do not return him to such a person. It concerns me greatly what else may have been done to this dog.
