Out of every dollar that is donated to ACS (including Relay for Life) only HALF A PENNY goes to all childhood cancer. Not just one childhood cancer, ALL of them. Meaning for every $10,000 less than $50 is donated to childhood cancer. There are more than 120 types of childhood cancers and if you divide $50 into 120 you get .41 cents. For every $10,000 donated to ACS (this includes Relay for Life) each individual childhood cancer only gets .41 cents.

People are being mislead thinking their donations (including fundraising individuals have made for Relay for Life) are going to go to their child or child they know that has cancer. When you try and designate your donation these are the choices: where it's needed most, cancer research, breast cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, or lung cancer.

Childhood cancer advocates are also being stifled and blocked from posting on ACS' Facebook page. Their posts are being moved to the "notes" section to be taken off of their wall for all to see. They are trying to cover up the fact that they barely donate to childhood cancer.

If ACS is going to use little bald children to pull at heart strings in order to make people donate, then they need to donate more than 1%. Make sure that the "official sponsor of birthdays" is giving the ones with the most birthdays to lose a chance.
