You big retailers are gradually re-introducing slavery back into our society. You guys suck. All you care about is making money for your investors who already have plenty of money! You give full-timers much less than 40 hours a week so they will never have the chance to earn time-and-a-half. You hand out foodstamp applications to your new hires because you want taxpayers to subsidize the little salary you pay! I know your tricks. You don't care if people can't afford to pay for their own place to live. You would be happy to employ nobody but teenagers living with their parents if you could. But if YOUR retail chain thinks that way, and another thinks that way, then ALL the chains will think that way and we won't have anybody in America who is able to afford housing! Except a handful of smart people who are professionals like architects, doctors and lawyers. Can't you see that you are helping to eliminate the middle class!? Not everybody has the capability to be a professional! Stop making people stock your shelves and ring up customers and spend many hours laboring for you while you laugh to yourselves in the boardroom as you find ways to pay less and less each year! And on top of that, you are making employees get up from their Thanksgiving table to serve your needs? F you!

In 1863 Thanksgiving was made into a national holiday. A day to stop reflect and thank God for his blessings upon our Nation. Abraham Lincoln made the declaration and it has been observed and is a tradition in virtually every home in these United States of America. For generations it is tradition to have only those businesses most needed be open in honor of this one day a year we stop to give thanks. Now greedy CEO's of large retailers think it's an opportunity to get ahead of the competition? Well why not, it's not like they will have to work right? Let the surfs work and the CEO's will enjoy bigger bonuses. I would be happy to sign a petition making it a constitutional amendment that retailers could not be open on Thanksgiving with the exception of a few pharmacies so people can get emergency medicine.

We should support a society where family values are more important than profits. I will boycott any store for the rest of 2012 who opens on Thanksgiving.
