270 asylum seekers and their children at Lisbrook House, face dispersal to other villages around Ireland, due to the sudden closure of their centre

This is absurd and tragic, in a country where around 230000 houses lay empty people are being moved around like cattle. Asylumseekers have already gone through forced evictions from their home countries due to no fault of their own. They are among the ones who need proper housing a.s.a.p.Instead they are being kept in centres for years while waiting for their applications to go through. Despite all of that stress, the residents show amasing rescilience, engaging with the wider community, reaching out.

I see the lack of consultation, consideration and communication in this situation as a continued demonstration of Alan Shatters inability to conform compassionate treatment of people with a flippant attitude towards social cohesion. People have to safe-guard common decency when the minister for justice is content to make snap decisions to the obvious detriment of vulnerable dependant groups.

this is very important for the economy of th country that people in the direct provision should be give house, where rent will be paid for the empty accomodation houses available ,by doing this, it will boost the economy, and the government must put condition on the social service whereby when papers are issued the government must only pay for social welfare for a period of 9 months there after each person must find job to take care of themselves without the help of the social welfare service, in turn no money would go out unnecessrily.
