Awareness is a proactive way of helping people understand what is happening in our communities, families, and home. Understanding is the first step to having the ability to help, get help, or at the least direct to help. Programs like this would have been great when I was trying to work through a 10yr marriage with someone who abused substances or trying to raise my son that had something going on mentally, which I took as disrespect. I would have been able to help rather enable & hinder had I been aware.
