For World Peace Day, we honor Afghans working for peace in their country!

    1. Petition by

      Pax Populi

As World Peace Day is upon us, we want to express our admiration and support for the brave and noble peacemakers of Afghanistan. We — people of goodwill from countries around the globe — call for an end to the fighting that has devastated this country for decades. Let us work together to build a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan in which the rights and dignity of all Afghans are respected. The time for peace in Afghanistan is now!

    1. Thanks for the Gift of Your Support for Peace

To all who signed our petition to honor Afghan peacemakers, we today crossed the 300 signers mark with supporters from about 18 countries.

For all of you who signed, we thank you. There is still a long struggle for the realization of a peaceful Afghanistan, but despite the current state of wrenching turmoil in the world, there has been much progress in recent years. We need to keep our focus on supporting peacemakers everywhere and especially in Afghanistan. Amid the roar of violence, we need calm, steady effort sustained by a recognition of the ultimate unity of all humankind and the power of love and understanding.

Many would say, why bother? But, like it or not, given the nature of the contemporary globalized world in which we live, we need to learn to live together.

Shall we keep the petition going? Tell us what you think at our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/paxpopuli, and if you haven’t “liked” Pax Populi yet, please do so.

      Thank you and Pax!

World Peace, everyone deserves to love and be loved, by each other especially. I desperately wish more Americans could could look at the people of third world countries and see people, not terrorists, burdens, or animals, just people like ourselves.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan, I was respected, protected, and treated like family. Though it was a poor country materially, it was a community of sharing, even of the scarce water supply. It was the most peaceful community I ever experienced, despite the diversity of the tribes, the languages, the religions. There was respect and tolerance before the Russians, before the Taliban.I believe in the Afghan spirit. It will prevail.

My son in law is in Afghanistan, we were just notified that three were killed and many were wounded including Afghan police and people. All humans must stop the fighting and find the peace within and let it shine out. My granddaughter wants her papa to come home, please.....
