Victory

Jacob Holgate: It is with a growing sense of pride for the world of warcraft community that I declare victory for this petition. In less than twenty four hours we've earned eleven thousand signatures, and a huge amount of traction from the games player base and new outlets. It is because of this that Blizzard developers have agreed to memorialize the late Mr. Williams in game. Robin Williams death continues to shock and sadden millions around the world, and while a simple NPC within the largest MMORPG in the world does not return the laughter and joy he provided us for four decades, it does ensure that should we feel the need to seek him out he can and will be found within he world he himself loved to be immersed in. You did it guys, thank you so much for taking the time to sign this petition and share it. This small good thing during a largely bad situation is owed to the thousands who desired to preserve a small piece of one of our favorite actor/comedians. See you in game. "You're only given one little spark of madness.

Robin Williams was born July 21, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois and lived an extraordinary life until his untimely death on August 11, 2014. Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor three times, Williams went on to receive the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Good Will Hunting. He also received two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards. Arguably one of, if not the most, funniest man to ever walk the earth, the loss of Mr. Williams is felt worldwide with a collect intake of disbelief and crushing sadness. Robin Williams was not only an excellent comedian but also a game enthusiast, he said that he enjoys Warcraft III very much in an interview a few years ago, and was even apart of the mmorpg World of Warcraft. It was reported that Robin used to play on the Mannoroth server, and was something of a troll in trade on good days or when anonymity allowed. Mr.. Williams said in interviews that he took his World of Warcraft characters very serious  - in fact he was well known for being an extreme PC builder who prefered to build his own overclocked and super-cooled systems. He often joked about his WoW addiction but also about the reactions he'd get from other gamers when he admits he plays the game. Because of his presence within our community, we the players of World of Warcraft are asking Blizzard to kindly create an NPC within the game that memorializes the actor/comedian. Many have expressed a wish to this character perform some of Williams best jokes within the Worlds End Tavern, so that he may continue making us smile long after his passing.

It is with a growing sense of pride for the world of warcraft community that I declare victory for this petition. In less than twenty four hours we've earned eleven thousand signatures, a huge amount of traction on many gaming and new outlets, as well as assurance from Blizzard employees that our desire for a Robin Williams tribute and or NPC will be handled with great care.

Robin Williams death continues to shock and sadden millions of people around the world, and while a single non-player character in a video game is only a small good thing to come out of a largely negative situation -- many cannot help but feel that they've preserved a tiny spark of who Mr. Williams was: a gamer, and a character.

Many heartfelt thanks are offered to those who embraced the idea behind this petition in the face of so many negative comments and outright bullying by other players. Without you I'm positive that our goal would of never been met. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I will see you in game.

Can't wait to see this in Worlds End...his comedy will live on in WoW...and our hearts. It's sad that someone who made soooo many people happy couldnt find happiness himself. I hope he found what he was looking for.

I grew up w/ him making me laugh and cry w/ all his different roles as well as I understand his struggle w/ mental illness. It doesn't matter what status or how rich you are, mental illness can get the best of anyone and drown out the simplest of life tasks.

Robin Williams was one of the few celebrities I actually cared about. I would always say that the day he died would be a sad, sad day. This man was an inspiration to many, and important to so many people.

I grew up with a majority of his works, he taught me to laugh at some of the hardest things in life. ANd that life is your stage, you just gotta be brave enough to stand infront of the crowd and do your thing.
