Mission

Our mission is to work to end homelessness by providing housing, services, advocacy and education.

Programs

The Other Place offers a full continuum of care to people currently experiencing homelessness through our day shelter, outreach program and comprehensive case management; to those at risk of homelessness with our homeless prevention program; and to those moving out of homelessness with intensive post shelter supportive services in permanent housing.

History

The Other Place began in 1988 as an "other place" for homeless people to go when the night shelter closed each morning. Since then, our organization has evolved into a premier provider of services for those currently experiencing homelessness, those at risk of becoming homeless, and those moving from homelessness into housing.
