NY-NJ Trail Conference

Mission

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference builds, maintains, and protects 1700 miles of trails in the New York metropolitan area. We offer public service opportunities for people who love the outdoors.The Trail Conference is a federation of member clubs and individuals dedicated to providing recreational trail opportunities in the region and representing the interests and concerns of trail users.

Programs

The Trail Conference:Develops, builds, and maintains trails to assure public access to nature; protects trails through stewardship and advocacy; publishes maps, books, and  a comprehensive website to educate the public in the responsible use of trails and the natural environment; promotes community service on trails by organizing and training trail volunteers.

History

The Trail Conference has been connecting people with nature since 1920.
