Help Pass Critical Protections for America's Waters
After recent Supreme Court decisions, over 60 percent of U.S. stream miles and millions of acres of 'isolated' wetlands and lakes are at risk of losing Clean Water Act protection. These waters provide drinking water for communities across America and serve as important wildlife habitats.
Please urge your representatives to restore this act and restore critical protections to America's wetlands, streams, lakes and ponds.
This is an ongoing pledge that should be fulfilled as often as possible.

I have whitewater rafted on many rivers. We headed down the Taos Box on whatever river it was during spring runoff which is about a four on a scale of five for danger. Five being most dangerous. We got stuck in undertow, because I was spacing out, and didn't paddle when I was supposed to. The person in front of raft was halfway stuck under water for about 30 seconds in undertow. We dropped off a small falls and got stuck behind a rock. I was bouncing on raft trying to pop stick person out of undertow. Finally I stomped on the lady's feet and she popped out of undertow and raft finally got unstuck. We were at a street vendor flea market a day later in Taos and ran into the drowning lady and her husband. They thanked me for saving lady. Little did they realize, I was the cause of the whole mess. At least I got us out of predicament too.
