Mission
Nonviolence International provides strategic and tactical assistance to nonviolent campaigns and movements. Utilizing its network of experienced trainers and organizers, NI affiliates offer assistance and consultations throughout the world. NI teams have supported campaigns with Burmese, Palestinians, Russians, disabled, indigenous peoples, youth and others.
Programs
One of our larger programs is in Aceh, where we established and support the Peace Education Program. Funded by UNICEF, United States Institute of Peace, and Canada International Development Agency, this program has worked to support peacemaking in a troubled war zone. To date we have had 100,000 youth go through our course in peace building. We now have a program to train Islamic clerics in peacebuilding.
