This is an amazing organization with a dedicated small staff that effectively advocates for vulnerable displaced populations around the world. Best of all, they take NO money from government or the UN which enables them to be independant when fighting for the rights and protection...

You can deliver goods to refugees but if you don't have someone out there monitoring the effectiveness of aid or bringing the voices of the least powerful to the most powerful, how can you make sure that your hard earned money is being used well? RI does this. They send out independent advocates ...

Ben, this is a great example of the original principle behind change.org -- I wasn't aware of this group at all until I saw the site and your recommendation. I just checked out their site -- I dig it. Happy to contribute and hopefully, in some small way, do something positive for Iraqi civilians.
