An Awesome organization - gives its all!
-
This organization has many resources to help those of us who are Anti-Genocide illerate learn quickly what it's all about with plenty of ideas of how to get knee deep involved.
I joined the network not too long ago and have learned so much; its a sad, painful situation that should have been taken care of long ago. What is going on is NOT acceptable whatsoever.
If your interested in becoming a activist for this cause, go to the GENOCIDE INTERVENTION NETWORK and become educated so you can raise awareness - start a website today, further the cause.
Don't stop there by all means widen your horizons and read up on it as well; this fantastic group has everything; they truly care.

Teaching/understanding genecides; this is an idea how.

At my school, we (the class of "2010") did this interactive holocaust thing because the class of "09" just doesn't get what genocide is. So we ran a death/wrok/concentration camp, made the whole class of "09" be prisoners and we gave them passaports, put them in a ghetto, crammed them (about 20-25 ppl at a time) in a really small space to simulate the carts, seperated them, then gave them (temp. ink) numbers on their forearms and at the end we sent them into a (fake) gas chamber. Though the whole thing there were projects and modles of the real work/consentration/death camps. My class all wore arm bands, and I role played as Dr. Josef Mengel. One of our teacher's parents (both of them, and this teacher was the class of "09"'s teacher at the time) survived the holocaust and did a documentry on it (which I had the pleasure of editing) and they saw it and saw how all this affected many, including their own teacher. After this expirience the class "09" now understand why ppl are emotional about this time period and about genocides in general and why it's important to stop them. It was an increadible expirience for them, the teachers and even us, the facilitators. Maybe every school should try to do something simular.

S.O.S....... .. Genoicide is not the proper way to deal with Balochs.
Appeal to the men of conscious, all over the world.
We have noticed that whenever Mr. Musharaf, the Executive Chief of ISI + Pakistani forces ........ Air forces, navel forces, Regular forces, Frontier Constabalary, Talibani forces, Lashkare Jhangvi, Sipahe Sahaba and others ............ ..lands in Quetta, Balochistan faces an intense carnage and genocide by Pakistani Military.
Now, again this famous respected Dracula has arrived in Quetta, to plan & show his cowardly acts in Balochistan. Many times he did it in Karachi, too.
We again humbly request the men of conscience to encounter his sick adventures in Balochistan and approach the world print media, electronic media, different Human rights Organizations including that of United Nations (!), contact with different head of States, European Union, United States, United Kingdom to save the lives of innocent men, women and children of Balochs.
Pakistani Military is using the killing of Baluchs as their "bonus" to loot Baloch natural resources, as regards the "fighting against terrorism". Unrest in Balochistan is the result of political, social and
economic unjustice which can only be soloved through political means.
International Community is appeasing Paki ISI and Military, to save the lives of their soldiers and their civilians in Afghanistan and elsewhere. Probably, Mr. Boucher has secretary accepted the Paki demands to massacre Balochs first and then let ISI to play their double-game with Talibans
International community must stop the financial, militarily assistance to Pakistani Military including supplying of helicopters and F-16 Jet fighters which are used to kill Baluchs by bombardment of chemical and other bombs. Funds, in the name of "democracy" should be withheld until ISI is not brought under the control of civilian Government.
Why not put full sanctions against Pakistan until she is fully
tamed and ceases to kill her own citizens, citizens of Afghanistan
and India and killing of NATO/ISAF/Afghan forces????
International media should be allowed by Pakistani Government to visit the affected areas of Balochistan and peace keeping forces of either "South Asian" countries or "United Nations" should be deployed in Balochistan to avoid the genocide of Balochs.
The members of Pakistani Security forces should be enlightened to avoid the killing of his own country-men, their own muslim brothers, systers and mothers in Balochistan. The brutal massacre of Balochs is ordered by the illegitimate President of Pakistan to enrich himself, the Pakistani Generals and foreign multi-national companies by looting the mineral resources of Balochistan.
With Talibans ISI makes peace agreements but not with Balochs. Why Mr. Boucher, the American representative for South Asia, do not try to conciliate between Pakistan and Balochistan?
( Friends of Balochs )
All over the world.

I think what is being done here needs the attention of us all - we as a people are compassionate by nature, loving and very giving. It's this world that changes us, creats undesirable behavior which has to be eleminated. Change is vital for survival - let's start working towards a solution "TOGETHER"

Conrats on being the featured non-profit!... very exciting and encouraging.
I wanted to tell you about our site, that we actually launched publicly today, 2/11 - WorldofGood.com - a global initiative to fuel social change through commerce, by harnessing the power of consumer choice. It's a cool new site - check us out at :
http://www.worldofgood.com
/>
This site is a partnership of eBay Inc. and World of Good, an organization that works to alleviate poverty by opening markets for artisan communities worldwide. I know this is a lot of information, but we're very excited about sharing this new space with as large of a socially-conscious community as possible!
The Community is just the 1st of the two-part site- The Marketplace (set to launch later in Spring of this yeat) was built around the idea that when people have a multi-seller marketplace of people positive products that they TRUSt... they can make informed choices that they KNOW are making a difference.
So all of this is just to say that we'd LOVE to have you as a member of the site - where users post blogs, discussions, polls, and where media providers post original articles. It's easy and fun!
If you have any questions, please email me at lauren.stower@worldofgood.com.
Either way - thanks for all of the good you're doing! In solidarity,
Lauren Stower
